2I.G stats + II.A–II.C gagesMean/median/s problems. Handle real mics and calipers if you have them. Math drill.
3II.D–II.G plate, cal, MSA (measurement system analysis)Explain bias/R&R out loud. Metrology drill.
4III.A drawings & GD&TWork five position-and-bonus problems. Tab ASME Y14.5 symbols in the handbook.
5III.B–III.E sampling, plans, test methodsInspection drill. Write one incoming and one first-article plan for a part you know.
6IV.A–IV.D tools and SPC (statistical process control)Pick the right chart for six data stories. Compute one Cp (capability index for spread only)/Cpk (capability index that includes centering) by hand.
7IV.E–IV.F improvement + glossary sweepQA drill. Flashcards daily. 20-item mixed set.
8Weak sections onlyTimed Form A (50). Review the weak-topic report. Form B two days later. Full 100 if you still have time. Apply.

What “ready” looks like

  • You finish a 50-item mixed set in under 100 minutes at 80%+.
  • You can compute bonus tolerance and Cpk without hunting.
  • You can name the gage for a characteristic in one sentence.
  • You never confuse control limits with spec limits.
